ISIAQ is dedicated to improving indoor environments by advancing the science and technology of indoor air quality and climate through international collaboration, research, and the dissemination of knowledge.

ISIAQ is an international, independent, multidisciplinary, scientific, non-profit organization devoted to promoting healthy, comfortable, and productive indoor environments. Founded in 1992 by 109 scientists and practitioners from around the world following the 5th International Conference on Indoor Air Quality and Climate, Indoor Air ’90 in Toronto, ISIAQ has since been at the forefront of this field.

The organization is dedicated to advancing the science and technology related to indoor air quality and climate, with a focus on indoor environmental design, construction, operation, maintenance, air quality measurement, and health sciences.

ISIAQ’s main objective is to foster international and interdisciplinary communication and the exchange of valuable information regarding indoor environments, air quality, climate, science, and health. To achieve this, the Society diligently publishes and encourages the publication of research and studies in the field. ISIAQ places high importance on organizing, sponsoring, and supporting a variety of initiatives such as meetings, conferences, and seminars to raise awareness about the importance of indoor air quality and climate. The Society is committed to developing, adapting, and maintaining guidelines that improve indoor air quality and ensure a healthy indoor environment.
