AIHA Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Task Force

The American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) has launched an initiative to bolster IAQ efforts through the establishment of the AIHA IAQ Task Force. This task force aims to enhance communication and coordination between AIHA’s Volunteer Group network and ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers), thereby amplifying the voice of occupational and environmental health and safety (OEHS) professionals in shaping IAQ standards and practices.

Mission of the AIHA Task Force

The mission of the AIHA IAQ Task Force is to serve as a liaison between AIHA’s Volunteer Group network and ASHRAE, facilitating dialogue, collaboration, and strategic alignment aimed at improving IAQ. By bringing together subject matter experts from diverse backgrounds, both AIHA members and non-members, the task force ensures that a broad spectrum of perspectives is considered, with the overarching aim of strengthening communication and coordination of activities that enhance Indoor Air Quality.

The IAQ Task Force won’t be limited to a specific number of members and will be open to both AIHA members and non-members to ensure that all perspectives are reflected.
